Your 1st Steps

On the 3rd February 2014 you was at home with mummy and grandad and we was encouraging you to walk and guess what you took your first 10 steps! I was so proud of you and that I got to see your first steps! My baby was growing up. From then on we couldn't stop you, you was showing everyone how you could walk! Such a clever girl to be walking before your first birthday.

Nanny Chris's Birthday

This birthday was a special birthday for nanny. As uncle Richard had come round from his lung transplant on the day of her birthday giving her one of the greatest gifts a mother could receive, knowing your child had made it through a hurdle. It was a long way off being back to normal but it was the first happy hurdle.

Anyway as nanny was down the hospital staying with uncle rich we hadn't got to see her much so I decided to arrange her a birthday meal and invite her best friends, something special. But it was a secret as nanny thought it was only me, daddy, you and auntie Zara going. Hehehe.
We turn up and sitting at the table already was Diane,Maureen and Clair. Nanny was so happy to have everyone there.
You got to sit down  and have big meal and pudding to yourself,it's of it ended up on the floor for the poor waitress to clear up!

First Santa Visit

Your first Santa visit was a off chance because we had no idea you could see Santa at Harrods.
We booked up to take you to Hyde Parks  Winter Wonderland, then we were going to Harrods, then off to the new M&M shop then off to Hamleys.

Whilst we was at Winter Wonderland we went in to the Ice Palace, there was amazing ice sculptures of animals and an ice palace. There was also an ice slide! It was very very cold though so luckily we was wrapped up warm.

Afterwards we went to Harrods, a humongous shopping centre with everything in it, even dogs!
As we wandered round we came across a grotto, and luckily they had a space so we could book in.

When we got to the entrance they gave you a little passport to which you got stamped on your way round the grotto before you met Santa.

When you got to meet Santa you was ok until I sat the other side and you couldn't see me! Was a great picture to keep and a good memory though...look..

This is the first time you met your cousin Courtney Jessica. She came to stay when you was a few months old, she was very jealous of you as you was getting all the attention but she loved to help me out and feed you and cuddle you!
Unfortunately from September 2015 we havnt seen or had contact with Courtney.

Coming Home, The First Few Weeks

The day after you were born we were able to bring you home. Unfortunately the journey home took hours because of traffic! When you got home grandad Tom took you straight away for a cuddle. Very lucky girl as grandad doesn't cuddle babies.
You settled instantly being at home, you was always laid back and relaxed, nothing upset you. Over the first few weeks you had many visitors coming over to meet you and bearing gifts for you.
Of course auntie Zara was one of the first! She had been dying to meet you.
I had your Moses basket downstairs in the front room so you was with us all day long. You got so many cuddles from us all esp from me, I didn't want to put you down! Hehe.
When it came to night time, your daddy was a nightmare getting up and feeding you so it was mainly mummy doing it, I was knackered but you was worth it. I remember there was one night where you wouldn't go back to sleep and I couldn't stay awake and I kept shouting at your daddy to wake up and help but daddy ignored me :( . So I took you into nanny Chris and as soon as she spoke to you, you settled down. That was your first sleepover with nanny!
The health visitors came and went, all saying your doing great. One of them came to do your heel prick test, you wasn't happy about that! Lots of needles in your tiny foot. But you still didn't complain. Such a brave girl.

My Pregnancy

So July 2012 I was up the hospital and I had to take a pregnancy test to see if I was pregnant. The nurse was all excited and she told me I was pregnant! I was gonna be a mummy!
After we got out there nanny Chris was with me and she was very excited about the news. Your dad had just left to go away for a long weekend with work. So I called him to tell him the news. I expected him to go silent but his first words were..."yeeeaaaah!". Phew he was happy too.
At 7 weeks my tummy was pretty big so I was taken into hospital for an early scan to check if I was carrying twins, luckily not I only had the one. You was just a fast grower!

After 3 months we told the world our good news. So many people were happy for us. All said we would make great parents.
Pretty quick I booked in for an early gender scan with a 3D scan, unfortunately you wasn't looking so the 3D picture was crap :( but we was told we had a little girl, our little princess! I was over the moon!

As the months went by I was up and down the hospital for scans and tests and to see the midwife, all to check both you and myself were doing well. And we were. My only problem was I had SPD, something that makes my hips go when pregnant meaning that for no reason I would be walking then stumble, it was as though you was leaning on a nerve. Not long before Xmas I developed gestational diabetes, this meant I had to inject insulin every morning and night till you were born. My legs were so bruised by then end of it!
The day came I could choose when I wanted to be induced, I chose the 12th February in hope that you'll arrive within 24 hours so you didn't share your birthday with Valentine's Day.

How I Met Your Dad

For many years I had been going to car meets and shows. These meets were about modified cars and people who have an interest in them. I joined a few car clubs over the years, first a group called CCUK, they stopped after a few years but I met some lovely people there. Then there was one called Rev-illusion. I stuck with this club for over 5 years.
Anyway, at this club I was a promo girl so I spoke to everyone and made people feel welcome. One day a man turns up and starts chatting to his friends (they knew him as he'd been around years even part of CCUK), however I had never seen him before. I said to my friends "his hot, he looks like Paul walker, I'm gonna have that man one day" to which my friends replied "if anyone can you can".

By the way, Paul walker is a great actor, just watch the fast and furious films.

Anyway a few days later I get a friend request on Facebook from this guy, his names David. We speak for a few months, flirting and eventually in January 2012 we get together as a couple. Things weren't the best at the start, he left me, he said things were going to fast. I knew then I did love him, it had only been a month or so but I knew I loved him. A week passed and he said he does love me too. Yay!
Literally a few months down the line I fell pregnant with you! Back to the start of the year I honestly couldn't see me and David becoming parents so soon, but I'm so happy we did! I wouldn't change it for the world!

It all started in July 1989

Mummy was born on 26th July 1989. I was born with a life threatening illness called Cystic Fibrosis. This meant my life was limited compared to everyone elses. As i grew up I was told id be lucky to live past 21 and id be lucky to be a mummy.
I grew up keeping on track with my health and making sure I took all my medication. I wasnt in hospital much so I was lucky.
I reached the age of 18 and I became very unwell overnight, but being the fighter mummy is, I got back to normal in 6 weeks. (mummy is where you get your determination from).
I turnt 21 and I was still doing very well, so id defied doctors expectations already. Im a stubborn person, you get this from me too. hehe. When I turnt 23 I fell pregnant with you. Everything from there on was my reason to be well enough to watch you grow up!

Lots of Love Mum
